Pursuit - The Love Letter Series
The Love Letter Series is focused on the overwhelming love story between God and man. The Bible is the greatest love letter of all time, but it is only a glimpse into the depths of God’s heart. The Word of God is the foundation of our faith, yet His passionate pursuit cannot be contained to a leather-bound book. God is still writing His love letter to you today. The relationship He desires with you is intimate and ever-evolving—leading you to grow and experience His presence in new ways everyday. My prayer is that this series would help you to see how deeply cherished you are by your Creator. I hope it encourages you to pursue a deeper relationship with the One who has been pursuing you since before time began.
This painting is called Pursuit. The entire Bible is a story of God’s relentless pursuit of His people. His longing for relationship with us began long before He formed the earth. And even when we fell out of grace in the Garden, God was already working out a plan for our redemption.
Time and time again in the Old Testament, we can see where God’s people strayed and rebelled, but God’s mercy and love prevailed. It was a foreshadowing of the incredible love that would come through Jesus Christ.
Jesus’ life on earth was yet another beautiful piece of the ultimate love letter. He went after the broken, rejected, and outcast people. He never saw them as less than worthy. Jesus saw them through eyes of grace. He saw the beauty and the original design of who they were meant to be.
God doesn’t see you through the lens of brokenness. He sees you through the lens of grace. You are His masterpiece. You are the pearl of great price and the treasure found in the field of Matthew 13. Jesus paid a great price so that He could call you His own. You are the treasure of His heart.
