One Nation Under God
For this painting, I created a post to collect prayers and scripture specifically for our country! I sketched a design, wrote the prayers, and started painting.
In Matthew 18:19 Jesus says, “Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask [within the will of God], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.’ (AMP version) It’s such a beautiful reminder of the incredible power that comes through unity in prayer!
This painting represents the heartfelt prayers of our nation, reminding us that God hears us and promises to heal our lands when we humble ourselves and seek Him. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Now, more than ever, the Church needs to unite in prayer for our nation, the leaders, and its people, so that we can truly be One Nation Under God.
If you want to pray in agreement with me and others for our nation, these are some of the prayers and scriptures that were collected for this painting:
- 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
- 1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
- Psalms 22:27-28 “All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.”
- Praying for God’s will to be done over our country. That He will lead the hearts and minds of our current and future leaders of the nation, states, cities, etc. I pray for peace amongst the citizens. Strength to persevere through hardships and to come together instead of drift apart. In Yeshua’s name.
- Praying that the people of God repent and stop worshiping money and power and idolizing kings over Jesus. Jesus is the Waymaker and His way is love and concern for one’s neighbor. The greatest commandment to love God and love people!
- Praying protection for those who serve & protect our country
- 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
- Praying for the Church to start loving people the way Jesus loves them, for the lost and hurting to have a personal encounter with Jesus that brings them to Him, and that things being done in the dark be brought into the Light and exposed for all the world to see.
