Our instinct is usually to fight the waves or to try to stay above them. But the best way to get through them is actually to dive under the water.
Under the water, you'll find that the noise and chaos above the surface becomes much quieter. It becomes easier to hear Him speak. And the never-ending waves that threaten to knock you over above the surface will gently roll past you as you sink into Him. It's in the deep that His overwhelming peace surrounds you and quiets your darkest fears.
