Redeemed, Restored & Renewed
The love of Jesus Christ is amazing. We can spend our lifetime studying the Word and still not fully comprehend what was truly accomplished for us on that cross.
Jesus is the sacrificial lamb of God. He is holy, pure, and entirely innocent. Yet He willingly took on the brutal death of a criminal to not only spare us, but to allow us to be made righteous! He washed us clean and redeemed us. We once were slaves to sin, but our freedom was bought with the heavy price of Jesus' precious blood.
At the moment that Jesus took His last breath, the veil in the Temple was torn. The barrier between us and God was demolished forever; allowing our intimacy with God to be restored. Something that seemed impossible since the fall of man from Eden.
Those miracles alone would have been sufficient for us to live a life of peace, but God wasn't finished! On that victorious day when Jesus rose from the grave, He defeated death and obliterated the power of the enemy! Jesus is not just filled with tender love. He is filled with power and might. He is the Lion of Judah!
Just like the Lion is looking forward to things unseen, we must do the same in faith. It is in this space of faithful living that we are renewed day by day by hearing the Word of God!
As we allow the word of God to take root in our heart, it brings forth a garden of revelation in our lives. The jasmine represents Jesus, the ultimate gift of God given for us. He brings good news for the hurting and soothes their souls with hope, like lavender can soothe pain in our bodies! Just like the vines of the morning glories cling to their foundation, we must cling to the one true Vine! As we do, we will find peace, represented by the white poppies. And the white gladiolus, also known as the sword lilies, represents the power and authority of Jesus. It is the same authority He has given us as believers to use here on earth!
The rough texture on the outside of the diamond represents the troubles and brokenness we will find in the world, but we can always find great peace and joy in the presence of God! Because Jesus has overcome the world!
